As firefighters returned from a structure fire we found this little guy hanging out on top of one of our vehicles. We believe the little fella was struck by a vehicle. He did not mind being picked up or held. Animal control was contacted and he is in their care at this time. We were advised that he has suffered a severe concussion and has been placed on medication to help with his injury. He is an Eastern Screech Owl and it is almost mating season for them. The theory is that he was out showing off for the ladies when he was struck. At least he knew where to go to get some help. Get well soon
