Marion Twp Firefighters were dispatched as automatic mutual aid to the City of Mitchell Fire Dept for a working structure fire. Marion responded with Engine 52 and Tanker 53 due to a frozen fire hydrant near the structure. Marion Twp Firefighters were called out as automatic mutual aid to the city of Mitchell for a working structure fire. Marion responded with 1 Engine and 1 Squad to assist. The homeowners pipes had frozen and were using a propane heater to thaw the pipes when the fire happened. 

Marion was dispatched as automatic mutual aid to Shawswick Fire Dept for a working structure fire in the 5000 block of River Road. Road conditions made responding to the scene greater than normal. Marion fire dept was requested to assist Shawswick,  Pleasant Run and Oolitic fire depts with a structure fire. Engine 51 arrived with 5 firefighters to assist. Fire was in the attic of a older home. The age of the home hampered efforts to stop the fire from spreading. Marion was called as automatic mutual aid to the City of Mitchell for a working structure fire. Marion arrived with Engine 52, Tanker 53 and Squad 55 to assist Mitchell Fire. Engine 52 assisted crews with fire attack while Tanker 53 established a water supply. Tanker 53 crew then moved to roof ventilation while Squad 55 crew assisted with interior operations. All occupants were out of the structure upon arrival and there were no reported injuries. 

Shawswick Twp, Pleasant Run Twp, Oolitic, Owen Twp (Jackson County) and Marion Twp Fire Depts. battled a structure fire on Old US 50 In Bedford. Units were on scene for several hours to bring the fire under control. Structure was a pole barn type construction with a residence above a garage. Structure was heavily involved on arrival of the first fire units. Extensive salvage and overhaul was performed. 

Marion was special called by Shawswick Fire to provide tanker and manpower to a reported structure fire at 9:14 pm. Engine 51 responded with 5 firefighters. Fire was knocked down on our arrival. Crews assisted with putting out hot spots and salvage and overhaul to relieve crews from Shawswick and Pleasant Run Fire Depts that had the initial attack on the fire. Oolitic was called for tanker and manpower support as well.  

On 10/16/2020 Marion was special called at 4:44 to assist Huron Fire Dept. with a large corn field fire. The field was being brush hogged at the time of the fire. Lawrence County was under a red flag warning at the time of the fire. Marion responded with Squad 54, Squad 55, Squad 56, Tanker 53 and Engine 51 with 10 firefighters. The fire burnt approximately 15 - 20 acres.  

Shawswick Fire Dept. with Pleasant Run Fire as automatic mutual aid was dispatched to a possible working structure fire on Dennison Schoolhouse Road. Mitchell Fire with Marion Fire as automatic mutual aid were dispatched to a structure fire in the 600 block of West Oak Street at 6:57 a.m. When crews arrived the found a well involved garage fire that quickly spread into the house. Shawswick Fire with Marion Fire dispatched as automatic mutual aid to a working structure fire on Tunnelton Road just after noon. Shawswick arrived and advised this was a working fire. Marion Twp responded with 8 in Engine 51 and Tanker 53. Assisted Shawswick with manpower. Fire was placed under control by Shawswick command and all Marion units returned to the station at 1;55 p.m.

At 0114 Marion Twp was dispatched as automatic mutual aid with Mitchell City Fire for a working structure fire in the 400 block of West Warren street. Mitchell Brush 2 arrived on scene to a fully involved OMD. Engine 52 was directed to catch a hydrant on the way in for water supply. Marion Twp and Shawswick Twp was dispatched to a structure fire in the 2000 block of Dixie Hwy. Engine 52 arrived on scene and found an appropriate 30 by 50 wood frame structure with flames showing from the North side of the residence. Engine crew performed an aggressive interior attack and brought the fire under control. Lengthy salvage and overhaul was performed. No injuries reported with this fire

Marion, Mitchell and Shawswick fire depts responding to a working structure fire with possible entrapment. As crews attacked the fire a collapse occured inside the residence and part of the main floor fell Into the basement. It was determined conditions were unsafe and crews were moved to a defensive attack on the structure. There was no entrapment in the structure and no injuries were reported

Marion Twp Firefighters assisted Shawswick Twp. With a fully involved structure fire. Shawswick was responding to a medical emergency when the noticed the structure fire. Marion Twp responded with Engine 51 with 5 firefighters and Tanker 53 with 3 firefighters. The home had partially collapsed into the basement making extinguishment difficult. No injuries were reported.

Crews were called to the site of a previous fire from a month ago in the dead end section of Greenwood retreat. Structure both times was a 20 by 70 single wide trailer used for storage. Structure was a complete loss after the first fire in October. Cause of the fire remains under investigation. No photos available due to investigation 

Marion Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the 4200 block of Stonington road. AMR Medic 2 arrived prior to our arrival and advised the home was fully involved.
